About 2 dozen people have been injured in this entire dispute, out of which the condition of 1 is critical. He has been referred to Jaipur. Soon after this incident, apart from the force present in Karauli, IG Bharatpur, IG Law and Order have reached Karauli. We have sent about 600 people from outside to Karauli. As of now the situation is under control.”

Additional DG and DIG Crime have been sent from Police Headquarters to Karauli. We have sent about 50 DYSPs and Inspectors to Karauli. The fire department is trying to control the shops where the arson took place. There is an appeal to the people of Karauli and the state not to pay heed to rumours. DM’s order, “No person should leave the house”
While issuing the curfew order on April 2 (Saturday) at 6.30 pm, DM of Karauli district Rajendra Singh Shekhawat wrote, “I consider it necessFGN to impose curfew in Karauli Municipal Council area. It can be extended depending on the circumstances. This curfew is in force till 12 midnight on April 4 (Monday). Section 144 has been imposed. Except the security personnel, no one should come out of their home limits. Action will be taken against those who do not follow this order under section 188 of IPC.

In a joint press conference, DM and SP of Karauli district said, “Internet has been stopped in Karauli. Around 30-32 people have received injuries. At present 9 injured are admitted in the local hospital. 1 has been referred to Jaipur. Around 20-25 people have been sent after first aid. 3 SDMs have been deployed in the curfew affected areas. Efforts are being made to normalize the situation by talking to the people.
