Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the inauguration of the Mahakal complex expansion project by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an agenda of all in the state. The people of the state and especially the people of Ujjain will take the lead in this event, Chouhan said during a meeting held here at 7 a.m. regarding the preparations for the inauguration of the Mahakal temple complex.
On the occasion of the inauguration, the activities will start from October 5, which will end with the inauguration of the Mahakal project by the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister said. Residents of Ujjain will make “Rangoli” and decorations in every house and shop. Guests coming from outside will experience the “Shivmay” atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, cheerfulness and devotion as soon as the Ujjain border begins. A mass party will be organized by various social organizations. Voluntary organizations will provide their services for the supply of drinking water, parking, accommodation and emergency care, etc. for visitors.
Dance troupes from different parts of the country will be performing at different locations in Ujjain. Trade Tax and Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur and Higher Education Minister Dr Mohan Yadav attended the meeting virtually held at the residence office of the Chief Minister.
