A heavy exchange of fire took place between CTD and terrorists in Khanewal, one terrorist was killed in the incident while three of his comrades escaped.
According to CTD police, the terrorist killed in the exchange of fire in Khanewal has been identified as banned TTP commander Irfanullah.
Police said a suicide jacket, grenade and weapons were recovered from the slain terrorist’s possession.
According to the spokesperson, Irfanullah was the mastermind of the Rawalpindi car bombing who planned to target sensitive installations and important personalities along with his accomplices.
The spokesperson said CTD Multan raided Khanewal to arrest the terrorists.
